Photo Question.

When do you usually schedule for your engagement session? We did one early on right after we got engaged for our announcements but now our photographer is giving us one in our package. Any thoughts on how long before the wedding, seasons? I know this sounds ridiculous but what do you wear? Formal not formal?

    We had pictures taken during the fall when the leaves were falling and it was beautiful. We did one more dressy outfit, and one more casual outfit.     We took ours about 7 months or so after we got engaged.  PIB if you would like to see a few (from both sessions).  My sister took some later that fall (almost a year after we were engaged) as a gift to us as well.  We wanted ours done not too long after we got engaged.  We wore a casual outfit b/c it fits our style more.  Its really personal preference.  HTH!

    We took ours in the fall about 9 months before the wedding.  I was hoping for more pictures with colorful leaves but the location we took the pictures the leaves had already changed and fallen but other places in the city had beautiful color at that time.The only season I wouldn't take pictures is the winter but I have seen beautiful pictures during that season just I didn't want to freeze my butt off.  You should choose the season you want to be as a back drop for your pictures.  Do you want color from spring flowers, or fall leaves, or a more barren back drop during winter?
