Confusion-Invitations?

I think I might be over thinking this or just a little confused with the invitations. I keep seeing a lot of girls with pocket fold invites. Where do you get those? I ordered a sample of 10 from Vista Print and they didn't have pockets.  Do the invitations have to have pockets?  Is it some sort of kit?

I plan on having my invitation, response card and information about accomodations included.  I don't think we're going to have a reception card because the reception is at the same place as the ceremony, just an hour later.

Any suggestions or help?

I have heard many brides use this site.  I personally just bought a kit from AC Moore that included the pocket.  It was really cheap (40% coupon in the paper every week... just made weekly trips) and easy.
Vistaprint was my original choice for invites, but since they do not do pocketfold invites, I just said the hell with it and printed my own.

I do think, though, that if you go w/ VP for the invites, I'm sure you can find a nice matching pocketfold to hold them from a different vendor online

I'm not doing a pocketfold invite.  I think they're really cute and can be handy for guests, but they're not essential.  My invites aren't ordered yet, but I have more or less picked them out.  I'm also having the RSVP card and Accommodations card and I'll just put them behind the invite or however the stationery lady tells me to put them in.

Mine didnt have a pocket either. My ceremony & reception are in the same place so I didnt need a reception card. We're having a buffett so I didnt need a menu card. And I have a very small # of OOT guests, all who have places to stay here and at some point lived here and know the area...so accom. info is out too. Mine was pretty simple and to the point. Invite (with "reception to follow" printed on it) and a reply card. No pocket needed.

I think theyre pretty but if you dont have a mess of papers to add to the invite, dont bother

I guess I don't have to have the pockets like Bridgett or Sarah. I'm sure the accomodation information could fit with the invitation and I could put it on my wedding website. 

I think I was just overwhelmed and not sure where to go with the invites.

Pocket invites are purely for convenience for the guest so that everything stays together. I did a kangaroo pocket fold but thought the prices were insane so I made all of mine. They are def not a necessity.
