Is it bad that I just want to ignore planning?

Since we hit the 1 year mark a few days ago I just don't want to continue planning, haha. SO STRESSFUL! We have the venue booked, the DJ, and the photographer. And bought our STD's. But other than that...nothing is planned. I have ideas and whatnot but haven't started anything. I know there's still lots of time but I don't even want to start thinking about it! There's so much to do and think about and I just wish I could have the most stress-free experience possible. I need to find some motivation.

We're also in the process of buying a house so that probably has a lot to do with it...ha!

When you get to that really stressed point...take a break!  Just don't take too long of a break!  I also found that if life (non wedding related stuff) was too hectic for me...I would put wedding planning on the back burner.  This really does help!

    Ditto kadell!!!

I'm sorry you are so stressed right now... I think a break is definitely in order.  You seem to have all of the big checks done... and you have plenty of time to take care of the little stuff.

Good luck with the house!!  Buying a house can be very stressful... be kind to yourself, drink some wine, put the planning on the back burner for a while and get back to it when life settles down a little.

Ever since I booked my major vendors, my planning has been very minimal.  I browse etsy every day for ideas, but that's about it.  I haven't purchased anything recently because I always change my mind about what I like.  You've got plenty of time left, so take a break from the wedding, and enjoy the house process!

I'm in the same boat-- booked all my vendors and not really doing anything until after the new year. It definitely seems like you have a lot going on, and lots of time to plan, so enjoy the process! I'm trying to do the same myself :-)
