Dress

So... I kind of skipped my test review and rescheduled my dentist appointment and put off picking up my car.... so that I could get my dress last night.
On a positive note, the NYB store will hold my dress dress up until the wedding day, if needed.  So, the potential issue of me playing around in my dress and wrecking it has been solved.  Yay!
Weird thing is, I really thought I would get emotional on some level when I actually got to see and try on "MY" dress (as opposed to the size 22 ivory version that I had previously tried on).
Nope.  Nada.
As a matter of fact, I found myself picking out things that I didn't like.... the threading still looks gold-ish (vs silver) and the pleats on the back make my butt look funny.  Lol.
What is wrong with me???  Lol.... why can't I just have that stupid "OMG" moment and start crying.
Does this mean I didn't pick out the right dress.... because I really don't want to go through all that crap again.  Ha.
Tongue out

Thoughts?
(And no, sorry... didn't get pics.... my BMs bailed on me last minute and Kevin is adamantly opposed to seeing me in my dress, so I couldn't even get him to come into the building, let alone take pics...)  sorry...

Lmao... thanks Kara.  I think I just need someone to poke me in the eyeball and start the waterworks.
It is a gorgeous dress, and I do love it... I just really thought I would have my moment... haha!  Oh well.
If you click on my bio, then bridal attire, there are a ton of pics from the first time dress shopping...
The threading is listed as silver, but it really does look gold-ish.  When I asked about it at the store, they said it would look more silver-y when the dress was white (I tried on ivory, but ordered white)... I still don't think it's silver.... but you are right... I am probably the only person in the world that would notice or be bothered by that.  I blame OCD.

I didnt cry. I still try it on from time to time expecting to cry...nothing. Then again, I laughed when Josh proposed. Im a freakin cry baby and at times like these...nothing! I dunno.

I get picky about mine too. My biggest pick: "Why the HELL did I pick such a big freakin dress for a mid-day, May wedding?! Im gunna melt under all this big-ness!" Oh well. I still love it!

OK, so I looked and couldn't find the original dress photos.  I did see your proposal story and it is so adorable -- I love it!!  But anyways, I've heard it's really common for brides to doubt their dresses once they get them in b/c they picked them out so long ago!  I'm sure it is beautiful and that no on will notice these "flaws" on the day of the wedding, including you!

I cried the first time I tried on my dress (with my MOH), but not when I actually bought it a month later with my mom and aunt (they initially weren't crazy about it which definitely led to some stress and no happy tears).  But I've heard from other brides about tons of different reactions; many with no tears.
