**Monica**

Hey are you putting your own labels on wine bottles? I am having the worst time getting them to go on smooth. I am about to just scrap the idea and put the labels on cardstock and prop them up next to the bottles!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I went to Staples and got these printable labels.  I don't know the exact dimensions, but they come 4 to a page.  They are the perfect size!!!
Don't stress... seriously go pick those bad boys up and you are home free!

See I got labels custom ordered that match our invites, but I don't think the quality of the labels the design was printed on was that good. I really hate the idea of starting over, especially this close to the wedding.Frown I don't think I have a Staples around here, what brand are they?

These are the labels. They won't go on smooth, I did a practice run with an extra one and it was crinkling and not going on straight.

OK- just dug them out from wedding box.  (we are moving soon... between a billion boxes of "moving stuff" and a billion boxes of "wedding stuff" I feel like I am losing my mind!!!)

They are Avery white shipping labels.  3 1/2" x 5"  the number on the top is 8168
but you can use template number 5168 in microsoft.

I was really happy with how nice they looked, considering they are just a plain white shipping label.  They were easy to make, etc.
I know you are cutting it close, but it's really only a 1-2 hour project.  The biggest problem you might have would be ink (it looks like you are going with a dark background... this will burn a lot of ink.

No Staples?  Do you have an Office Max or Office Depot?  They would have them too.  Maybe Walmart or Target... dunno.

I think the ones you have now look very pretty too.  How bad were they wrinkled?  If it's not too bad, I hardly doubt anyone will notice... and by the time your big day comes around, it's unlikely that you will remember or care.

If it's less stress, I would probably just keep them (unless they are really pissing you off)... otherwise, if you can find the labels, it's a pretty easy DIY.  If you aren't able to find them, I can buy a pack and mail them to you... if that wouldn't take too long, ya know?

    Good luck!

Hey thanks for digging those out! It was wrinkling pretty bad, I'm going to try again tonight since I have 1 more extra one. If it's just a little bit I really don't care but it was full on folding in some parts! I think its because the label is thick (if that makes any sense at all)

I'm going to go to Office Max and buy those labels either way and see which is better, but that also means buying ink! The background is a deep purple, Ugh this is why I didn't make my own invites!! LOL

FI wants to just order the same labels in duplicate and put them in a photo holder and stick them above the flowers in the bottle. I don't like this idea all too much, but who knows.

Thanks again for the tips and the label brand, I just remembered they aren't water-proof and when I put the aqua beads in the bottle I had some spillage and the ink ran all over and ruined the label anyways. I can't believe I just remembered that, so I guess I have to start over either way. Yell Well if this is the worst thing to happen than I guess I'm getting off pretty easy with this wedding planning thing.

hey sorry to butt in, but here is a really simple thing to try as well:
My FIL's have a small family winery. They use GLUE STICKS. yes, glue sticks with regular heavy weight paper, and the labels adhere perfectly. They need 24-48 hours to "cure" and make sure the wine bottles are dry, and not  chilled yet when you put it on, but it will work! It's ok to chill them once they are cured, and you will be surprised how great it will stick...
We are doing this with our favors and so far all of our mock-ups have come out great, GL!
