I'm meagan getting married Sept 29, 2012 at Belhurst in Geneva.

I am still in the very ealry stages of planning but have decided our next move is to choose a photographer.  I would really appreciate opinions recomendations from anyone who would be willing to share

Who are you using??

Hi! I'm also a September 2012 Geneva bride! We're getting married at Ventosa Vineyards on September 8th.

We recently booked Empire West Photo.  They are an incredibly talented and reasonably priced husband and wife team.  Their Facebook page is a great resource for looking at their work. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Empire-West-Photo/159346706722 (The first picture is a teaser from a wedding they recently shot at Belhurst.)

We had a Skype appointment with Natalie Sinisgalli and she seemed wonderful. However, our ideal package was far more than we wanted to spend.

I'm also a Belhurst bride and I'm using Photoemphasis.  He's done a ton of weddings at Belhurst and was recommended to me by another bride.

Our photographer is from Buffalo, but is traveling to Syracuse for the ceremony and Glenora (Seneca Lake) for the reception.  SHe is absolutely amazing!

Thank You for the ino!  And the Welcome! I'm pretty busy but I'm at a computer all day so hoping to get more involved and use this resource for all my plans especially being in Elmira and soo busy we cant make it Rochester/Geneva every weekend.  Hopefully once summer hits it'll be easier being at the lake all the time already.  My family is on Waneta lake and Als family is on Seneca (granted its the other side and end of the lake but its like a 17 mile boat trip to Belhurst) so we should be able to be around up there mre often

I cant help with the photographers, but Im at a computer all day too. 9 times outta 10 Im on TK. Its safe to say I dispise my job and find any excuse to avoid work

I just booked Natalie Sinisgalli for my wedding (and e-shoot, etc.).  She is AMAZING.  SO much positive energy, and someone who I could see myself being friends with.  A good friend (professional photographer) gave me some good advice when I was deciding on a phorographer.  Make sure you like your photographer as a person, and would choose to spend free time hanging out with them even if you weren't getting married.  This person is going to be following you around all day on one of the most important days of your life.  You should like them!

Aside from that, Natalie takes amazing photos.  She has a very unique, interesting perspective... and I was definitely not looking for traditional.  Her work really speaks for itself.  Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

...and nice choice on Belhurst.  They were in my "final 3" for wedding venues!
