Lake George on a budget!

Hi, I am new to the board, my FI and I are starting to look at venues and we really want to get have the ceremony in LG.  We will probably be holding the ceremony at the Diamond Point Community Church

Our total wedding budget is between 10-12k and we will be inviting about 130 people so we really need dinner at less then $40 a head.

So far we are looking into Camp Chingachgook, Silver Bay YMCA, and we are going to look at both the LG Steam Boat Co and Shoreline.

We'd love for the site to be on or near the water.  Any suggestions are greatly apprecaite.  Also, if you've been to, or had your reception at any of these places let me know how it was!  Thanks ladies!

I got married in October 2009 at Silver Bay.  It is a great place to get married.  We had our reception in Gullen Lounge.  We were told 125 was the max it could hold.  We had about 110 guests.  Without a dance floor you could do more in there.  I really loved getting married there.  We worked with Kim Riper and she was great.  They treated us so well and everything was wonderful.  We did the upgraded bbq for our dinner (ribs and chicken) and the food was really good.  We got a lot of compliments.  If you did that, you could add appetizers and would still be within your budget.  They do book quickly though so if you're thinking about it, I would call ASAP.
