Cocktail Hr & Dinner Music

What type of music should I select for cocktail hour and dinner?? I have to pick 5 songs that I would like played and I am clueless.TIA

I really like Jack Johnson. Upbeat, but mellow.  I am a big jazz fan for dinner music, so maybe some Harry Connick Jr. or Miles Davis? Bob Marley, Could You be Loved, Lauren Hill, Everything is Everything. James Taylor, Carolina in my Mind, Mexico, Shower the People.  Maybe one or two of those sparks your interest?

Our Trio gave us the option to pick songs or we could let them pick them.  I didn't want the stress, so I let them decide.  Otherwise, maybe look online for some classical pieces.  GL!

I am a big fan of big band music from the 40s and 50s. Maybe some Frank Sinatra?

What type of music do you like?  I didn't specify, and I ended up with two songs I hated (the Married with Children theme song?  That's Amore?  I worked at Olive Garden for a while, if I never hear that song again it's too soon!).  I just told the DJ rat pack type songs, I never guessed he'd pick the two I should have put on the DNP list.   I'm sure your musicians/dj will have some suggestions too.  GL!
