Well... mine is waaay over now, but I did set a tentative date for my RTD and B-pic shoots.  Can't wait.  Must get these done with before I get all big, fat and pregnant.  lol.  Nothing worse than pregnant strippers and I think prego b-pics might be a close second.  creepy.

Side note, not knocked up yet.  lol, just want to get these done before anything happens, ya know.  Tongue out

I don't think there's anything new to report this week. But we fly to Rochester tomorrow and begin a packed long weekend of appointments. (Hopefully I'll have lots to share next week.) My fiance is also seeing our venue for the first time tomorrow.

    I. Finished making personalized drink stirrers.  They turned out really cute, as long as the flags stay stuck together (some were coming apart, maybe from humidity?).

    2. Borrowed a friend's bird cage and spray-painted it white.  It's adorable now!

    3. Played around with table numbers.

    4. Ordered the rest of my jewelry as well as tin pails to hang on the chapel doors.  They'll have fresh flowers in them.

    5. RSVP count: 49 guests coming, 7 not coming, still waiting on about a hundred.  I'm pretty happy with the numbers so far.  They have 1 month to get 'em in!

    That's it so far....

I haven't really accomplished anything. I ran down to the Farmer's Market today and met a lady who grows a ton of flowers.  I can buy them bulk, directly, and get them for really cheap....and they're gorgeous.

We also found two more potential places to look at for our reception venue.

    That about sums it up!

I didn't really do a whole lot, but we did start to get RSVPs back. So far, everyone has said they are coming, except for one couple that we already knew wouldn't be able to make it.

Oh and I also broke down and ordered some opera length satin gloves to try on with my dress. I really hope I like how it looks because for some odd reason I really want to wear them.

I wish I was as busy as you all!  I've only been browsing the internet for pictures and ideas.  I might order a small barrel to put cards in, and if I do, I'll post a pic for decorating ideas.  Thought it would fit my winery venue well.  Happy wedding planning everyone!

I put the deposit down for the photographer and a deposit down for a caricature artist (those are our favors). Lol, so in other words I paid a lot of money and have to wait a long time to reap the benefits!

I'm updating in the dead of night because I woke up out of nowhere and am having trouble getting back to sleep Undecided but, I have LOTS of updates!

-Talked to FI about moving our date up a year (because, really, 2014 is just TOOOOO far away) and he agreed that we will decide for sure whether or not to do that at the end of the this first semester of grad school for him/law school for me (here's hoping my ticker changes soon! Would be so nice to slash 365 days of planning off our calendar)

    - Decided firmly on lavender as our only color, as opposed to the lavender/aqua idea we were toying with.. fine by me, one less thing to worry about coordinating! Plus, everywhere I go now, I see lavender and it's starting to become my favorite color I think

    - Talked about one of my attendants... in the past year, a person I consider to be family as I've known them for 16 years has undergone a gender transition, complete with hormone therapy, and now identifies as a male. This caused some confusion for us over how he would be included in our ceremony, as I KNOW it would break his heart to not be in the WP and FI, being as open-minded as possible, is a little uncomfortable/unsure about him being a GM (plus FI already has a football team-length roster for attendants as it is). Ran into this person at a funeral yesterday and I threw out the idea of him doing a reading, and he said "Nahhh, I'd rather just stand quietly next to you!" The thought of how it important it was to have this person there for me on my big day quickly overruled my OCD-issues with having a guy on my side, and I definitely will have him stand on my side.

    - Talked about music... previously we'd gone baaack and forth over music selections (first dance? ceremony music? walking down the aisle? what about exiting the church?!) I'm a huge stickler for the little details. However we decided to trash all previous ideas and go with the very first song for our first dance that he suggested months ago and hire these two twin cello players that my work always hires for agency functions, they're incredible and I would love to have them assuming we can get them.

    - FI has decided (bless his heart) that we should, and I quote, "finalize our guest list this weekend." You all remember my concerns about him and his guest list from my introduction post.... *sigh* anyway, I'm happy that he's taking this seriously enough to want to work on it in some way, so I will gladly sit down with him and draft up a new guest list and go over the rules and regulations of wedding etiquette and see if that changes much from the first draft we did. Then I'll tuck this list away for about 2 years and see how it goes over then!

    - Finally, we decided on what to do about vows. We both prefer the idea of doing traditional vows, and decided rather to make a toast to one another at the reception in lieu of personal vows. We especially like this idea because we are always "toasting" to something when we have our glass of wine with dinner so this will be a nice, official toast :)

This is exactly what we did.  The Catholic church would not allow us to use our own vows, so we did a toast at the reception to each other, just before the cake cutting.  We didn't want to do it before dinner with all the other BM, MoH toasts, because then it would seem like just another toast (guests thinking, alright already... when can we eat??)... we wanted ours to stand out and be a little more special.

Congrats on all the things you accomplished!  I just wanted to tell you that my FI is in business school right now and we're getting married in the middle of it!  Granted, it's not the same because he's the groom and we all know that the bride usually does more of the planning and b-school is not as intense as law school, but still.  Weddings happen during graduate school!  You should also check out the student board if you haven't already.

I have checked it out... and I ran away screaming. The things that people are saying over there about what the first year of law school does to your relationship were terrifying and I don't want other peoples' experiences to put me in a bad mental place and become self-fulfilling prophecies. I shared these horror stories with FI and he said that I can't worry too much about it because IDK what law school they're going to, what type of student they are, and what type of relationship they're in to begin with. I am going to go with that for now, and trust that we got this all under control and we'll do fine. I'm looking forward to losing lots of weight due to stress.

Oh, wow.  Sorry it was a scary board; I've never actually been on it because I'm not the student in my relationship.  But I'm sure you'll get through it and be fine!!
