Would anyone else be super annoyed?

I went to do laundry this morning and a clothes basket and all my husband's laundry is missing.  He took it to his mother's, which he knows annoys the chit out of me.  I've asked him repeatedly not to do this as I feel that it a. makes me look bad and b. it's not his mother's job.  Before we got married I told him that I hated that he did that, and now that we're married I feel like it's even more inappropriate!  WTF?  Am I overreacting on this one, or would you guys be pissed too?

Umm.  YES.  We live 6ish hours from the in-laws, so it would never be an issue... but I would be super annoyed.  Do you have a washing machine and he is too lazy to do his own or do you have to take it somewhere regardless?

If you have a washing machine and he took his stuff over there... that's just ridiculous... if you don't... I guess it's not quite as bad... but he could have taken your laundry too, if that's the case.  I can't stand when men run back to mommy for stuff like that... laundry, food, etc.

I would feel equally as annoyed.  He is married now.  He should either to learn to do it himself or KINDLY ask you to do it!   Maybe if you show him that doing a quick load of laundry can be almost easier that lugging it all the way to his mom's and back, he will be more willing to try...I know I'm stretching here!!

Super pissed, super mad.  Wow, not to get you going again, but really?  Take a pair of scissors and cut those apron strings that boy is holding onto!  Good Luck.

Sorry, that ended up being an unexpected P&R.  We have a washer and dryer, and I pretty much do the laundry for both of us.  I've said something to his mom about it, and she's like, "I tell him to bring it!  I have to do laundry anyway, I just throw it in with ours!"  I did tell him again yesterday how much I can't stand it.

If he took ALL of our laundry over to his mom's I would be okay with it lol but really, he should be doing his own laundry. That is annoying. Next time you think he's going to do that, throw some of your lingerie in there so he can have that awkward conversation with his mom and perhaps never want to have it again

LOVE this idea.  I would definitely sneak some skanky lingere (as distasteful as possible) in with his dirty clothes.  THAT oughtta put an end to mommy doing the laundry

Oh yeah Id be furious.

During the whole wedding process, Josh asked his mom if she'd come over and clean our house while we were on our HM. I flipped! He didnt see anything wrong with it and thought I would appreciate not having to worry about cleaning the week before the wedding and still coming home to a clean house, but it made me feel like Deborah from Everybody Loves Raymond. I insisted she not come and even stressed myself out trying to clean to show Josh I could do it. My mom ended up doing it (without being asked) b/c she saw me stressing and felt bad.

But I have a thing about not asking for help unless 100% necessary. I can hold my own and live my life without asking for money or help cleaning, so if Josh took his laundry to moms for her to do, Id offer for him to move back in with mommy until he man'ed up

I never offer to do FI's laundry because I hate laundry, so he's got to do it himself.  But if he took it to his mom's, I'd be furious.
