Just a thought....
The Western New York board may also be of some use to you during your planning, especially for vendors, etc... because many of the brides on that board are familiar with (or live in or are planning their wedding in) the Finger Lakes area.

I don't think they are as active a board as CNY, but the girls are pretty friendly and know the area well.  Hope this helps!

I live in Geneva, and I work for the Chamber of Commerce so helping people find wedding vendors is part of my job. And it gives me an excuse to be on TK while I'm at work.

Great suggestion, Monica. I have visited the Western New York board, but I find this one much more useful because it's so active.

Ok... raes, you have an awesome job.  Where the heck were you last year when I needed help?? 

Chelsea... it's definitely not as active and we do have some Geneva pros here (raes and emierose), but it's another good place to check for more opinions.  Never hurts to hear lots of different reviews when you are on the hunt for vendors!!

Well, there is more to my job than just wedding vendors, but that is definately one of the more enjoyable parts to it. So for all the weddings that I missed, I'm sorry! But if any of you plan on taking a vacation in Geneva (ha!), I can help you out

The Western New York Board is nice, but dominated by Buffalo Brides. This one is more active and has a better "community." But it's true that most vendors from Buffalo and Rochester will come to most all of the finger lakes.

That's why I stay in the CNY board. It's about a 40 minute drive to either Rochester or Syracuse for me, but Buffalo is really out of the way if I'm looking for something. I did go there for bridesmaids dresses, but I brought two of my bridesmaids with me and met another one there that lives in the Buffalo area.

I agree, the more reviews the better, so I'll definitely take a look later tonight!  You girls are so much fun though, and I lived in Syracuse for 4 years, so I'll stay on this board too
