Newspaper announcement question

Has anyone purchased the extra "keepsakes" when you submitted your engagement/wedding announcement to the Post Standard newspaper?  I was just wondering if they're worth it... and what they look like?

I did.  They are pricey.  Actually, the annoucement itself is prety $$ too.  I bought one for DH & I and one for each parent/s (for the e announcement)... a total of 4... for the wedding announcement, I bought one for DH & I, one for each parent/s and one for each grandparent/s... a total of 8.  It was like $200.  Stupid expensive.

Yes, I'm glad I got them.  My friends and co-workers and even people we didn't know brought in the newspaper clippings, so I ended up with 20+... but real newspaper does tend to yellow/fade over time.  I guess you could always laminate it, but I don't think it would look as nice.

The keepsake prints are decently nice.  Nothing to get super duper excited about.  For some reason, I thought my keepsake would be like an 8x10... don't know why.  But they are pretty much the same size as the newspaper announcement itself.  Just on a nicer paper and laminated.

So... long story short... I would get at least one for you to keep.  If you're feeling generous, one for the parents.
