Wedding Dress Shops?

Hi Everyone!

I'm going wedding dress shopping in a couple weeks with my family in Syracuse, and I was wondering if I could get some advice on places to go try on dresses. I'm already planning on going to SpyBaby, and I had a bad experience at David's Bridal so I won't be going there.

Anything else you all would recommend?
Thank you!!!

New York Bride and Rebecca's Bridal, both on Route 11 in North Syracuse.
NYB has an awesome selection and Rebecca's has the sweetest staff.
Personally, I would not recommend SpyBaby... they can be rude and basically demand appointments booked 2 weeks in advance- really inflexible which can be a pain if you have an unpredictable schedule.
Also- Heart to Heart Bridal off of I-90... don't remember the name of the town, but this store was AMAZING... the staff was so sweet and would do anything to make you smile or make the experience as smooth as possible... another bonus... they include all alterations in the price. Saves a TON!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[QUOTE]I am going to second New York Bride. That is where I tried on the dress I am going to be purchasing, but I will be purchasing it elsewhere. No appointments are needed there- not sure if that could be good or bad. I worked with 2 different consultants- one was definitely better than the other but I can't remember her name. There is also David's Bridal on Erie Boulevard- Stacie is awesome and very helpful! Also when I was driving down the boulvebard the other day, it looks like they are putting in an Alfred Angelo store too!

Really?!?! Sweet! Uuuum Theres a 'Something Old, Something New' On the blvd too. I dont think that was mentioned yet. I also went to Davids on the blvd. Michael (not sure how SHE spells it) was amazing and so wonderful. I had a bit of an issue with an old lady who got snippy with me. But we shut that down fast :)

I also bad a bad experience with David's Bridal, and I promise you you aren't missing anything in my opnion.

I liked Spybaby although it is PACKED with dresses, so make sure you make it one of your first stops, I wouldn't bother if you were tired! I never had to make an appointment with them, I just stopped in and asked if they had time and I never had a problem. Although if you were goin on a Saturday you may want to call ahead.

NYB was okay for me, I found a few dresses that caught my eye and tried them on, but I thought their service was kind of impersonal. The girl I had was helping a few other girls so when I needed help figuring out how to work those contraptions I had to wait and send my mom to find her.

I actually found my dress at Pickers in New Hartford. I don't know how far you want to travel, but they had a nice selection, and the women there were great.
    Good luck and have fun!
