Long Weekend!

What is everyone planning for the long weekend?

I will be driving to NJ after work today to my FIL's and I have my bridal shower tomorrow (yay!).  Pics to come.  Then a BBQ on Sunday for FI's family, my mom and grandparents -- this weekend is the first time our families will have met so that's a little nervewracking for me!  Hopefully I'll get to see some fireworks on Sunday night because I have to drive home on Monday evening.

While I'm gone my landlord is having our new apartment's old carpeting steam cleaned -- if that doesn't take away the smell, I am going to go nuts!  Seriously, nuts.

Leaving after work today to drive to Pittsburgh to go see Kenny Chesney (LOVE him!!!)... super excited!!!  Also Billy Currington, Uncle Kracker and Zac Brown Band (YAY!!!!)....

Hanging out w/ the in-laws and Pitt friends tonight (if we don't make it in toooo late)... then getting up wicked early to begin tailgating.  YAY!!!!

Sunday stopping by my Aunt and Uncle's house in Drums for a BBQ then home to Syracuse.

Monday... absolutely NOTHING.  Probably laying out in my backyard and enjoying some sunshine.

Monica, I hate you. Ok I dont hate you. But I want to!

I dont have any real plans until Sunday. Joshs bffs family always has a huge drunkfest for the fourth. They go all out with the decorations, 100% red, white, blue clothes, hundreds of clams, food up the ying yang, games, swimming/boating (for those who are sober) in the river, the coolest fireworks from them and all up the river b/c they all compete every year, and tents for those of us who cant seem to put one foot in front of the ther by the end of it.

Monday will be a recovery day for sure!

I rotate weekends with two other people, and this is my weekend to work, yuck! What really sucks is I can't work Monday because I am the only one of us three that isn't a seasonal employee, so I'm not allowed to work holidays. So I have to work Sat and Sun, but have Monday off which is basically pointless. I wish we would have figured that out before the summer schedule was done this year, so one of the other two would be on for the whole weekend, instead of me working and then someone else on Monday.

I have a grad party to go to Saturday afternoon, for my cousin whose mother bitched at me because my wedding is Columbus Day weekend. I don't understand how she could be mad about that, then plan her daughter's grad party for 4th of July weekend that is far more celebrated.

4 years in a row I got stuck working July 4th. I feel your pain. Sorry :/

I'm jealous of all of you! Fiance owns his own business so we works 6 days a week, including holidays! So, he is only off Sunday. He might at least leave early on Monday so we can do something. But then again, we could use the money, especially when we don't have anything special planned! Looks like a boring weekend for me! :(
