Acutally, I've heard of Gilt and I'd like an invite to it!  It's mostly not for weddings, girls!  It's a fashiony sample sale kind of site.

And she's posted a couple of times recently.

I love chit chatting with the local girls, but it irks me when someone we don't even know posts some random buy my stuff thread... that's what the classifieds are for.

If this is not a vendor or a "buy stuff so I can get free stuff" then I'm sorry, OP... retract fangs.

But serisouly... is a "hi, my name is.  my fiance is..." too much to ask?  You wouldn't walk up to some random stranger at a party and say "hi.  buy my stuff"... this board is like a little online party.  We loooooove getting to know new people (and buying stuff.... but it helps if we know the people)

heh. it was just a PSA. I read the board regularly, since i am getting married in Cazenovia. i think my profile says that. but i don't live in the area, so i don't comment very much. i did crowd source for a wedding planner and found one through this board actually.

There's no way the people from Gilt would be trolling message boards, looking to sell people things.

Thanks for the link, jenubabe. I am a long-time Gilt shopper, but never realized it had a bridal section.

I don't know anything about Gilt, but it never ceases to amaze me the kind of nonsense people pull to try to make a quick buck or get free stuff.  *(We've even had people post crap about how everyone in their family has cancer and their dog died and their fiance is dying and their house blew away and blah blah bullsh!t bullsh!t to try to win a free wedding...so now please vote for me)*.  This board, luckily, has not had too much of it going on but we have had a few in the past, so when a "buy stuff" post comes from someone I don't recognize, I do get snippy/annoyed.  We've got an awesome board and I would like to keep it that way.
