Non-Denominational Officant

So we have nearly everything else but have not wanted to think about this. I'm sure my FMIL would love us to use a Catholic priest but we are doing a simple ceremony at our reception venue. Can anyone recommend an officant they used for a similar type?

I was in the similar situation.  So I asked a family member (my mother) to get ordain and she did and found a simple ceremony to preform.  It means more now than just having an non-denominational ceremony.  :-)  How to obtain minister license http://www.sos.state.oh.us/SOS/MinisterLicense/licensing.aspxLooking up already licensed ministers in Ohiohttp://www2.sos.state.oh.us/pls/minister/f?p=241:1:1707514084826829

We are using Rev. Judy of WednowCincinnati.com. She is $175 and will customize your ceremony! She is wonderful to work with!

We're using Kathyrn Seifert-bridesofcincinnati.com.  She's wonderful, very kind, and totally open to what you want.  She'll perform a ceremony based on your needs, whether it's traditional or not.  She also only performs one ceremony a weekend typically (unless there are huge gaps between times) so scheduling conflicts don't occur.  She charges $300.

I second Kathryn Siefert!!  She is great and wonderful and we are really excited to use her!  She will customize your ceremony to whatever you want.  I would at least meet w/ her and talk to her.  She had us sold within the first 5 minutes.  GL!

We used Terry Carlisle.  I can't find his phone # but his email is carlislecounseling@sbcglobal.net   He's awesome, I really can't say how wonderful he is and what a help to us he was.  He sent along program examples from other weddings he's done, suggestions for readings (religious & non-religious), helped work out some family issues, worked with us to get what we wanted & never once pushed his views/opinions on us. He also offers pre-marital counseling if you want it.  As tacky as it sounds, he looks exactly like who I pictured to perform our ceremony. His fee was in the $250 range.

Absolutely #1 is Kathryn Siefert at Brides of Cincinnati.  She's a very, very nice person and will work with you to make sure you have the ceremony you want.  Maybe it's because she's of their generation, but I've heard tons of raves from parents about her too (my mom is just about her greatest fan; second only to me!).  See if she's available to meet with you then you can see if the rest of us stand on solid ground in our raves about her.  I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
