DJ Recommendations

I'm not really sure how I should go about choosing a DJ.  They're all about the same price, and besides a few reviews I found on wedding wire, I haven't heard much bad things.  Can anyone recommend a great DJ for a Syracuse Wedding?

I'm having the same exact problem. I really don't know who to choose from. There's just so many. I kind of put it off to the side because I don't even want to think about it.

Have you tried going to wedding expos and meeting the DJs they have there? That might help narrow it down because you can get a feel for them in person.

I asked this question and was referred to a company called Black Tie Entertainment. Needless to say, I am very happy so far with my choice to go with this company. They are out of Syracuse and In my opinion very reasonably priced. their contact info is.....http://www.btedj.com/

I picked a DJ that is out of this world! Singers To Go is a newer DJ Service offered by a local bar, Singer's in Syracuse. Jason Paussa is an awesome DJ - VERY professional, great personality, listens to what YOU want to do not what a basic iterinerary says SHOULD be done, and very reasonable. You can even check him out at his shows at Singer's on Milton Ave Wednesdays or Fridays. Keep in mind when you go, he is entertaining a bar crowd so his shows are more outrageous than what would happen for a wedding but you get to see that he can get a party going and keep the energy up. It is a karaoke bar and that is an option, but you don't HAVE to go that route. We didn't - just stuck to regular dj-ing. Call them at 484-SING (484-7464) or on facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Singers-To-Go/243714563152?v=info

I'm going with Whirlin Disc. My FBIL knows the dj and has seen him in action. He swears hes amazing. He is having him at his wedding in July, so I guess I will find out then. Its tough finding a dj since they can really make or break the reception.

Just like Meygan1228, We also chose "Singers to Go"  Jason Paussa is very friendly, and upbeat, high energy and professional.  I would recommend him/ SIngers to go for any event that needs dj services!  Price is great also!

Like Meygan said before you can check him out on Wednesday or Fridays (Fridays are my favorite day at Singers!)
