Freaking out!!!!

So, I got an online RSVP today.  I click on the email and it is a relative of my his, some random girl, AND TWO OF HIS FRIENDS!!!  Who does this???  What part of 'Mr. & Mrs." on the envelope was confusing?  I immediately contacted my fiance and told him to take care of it, and I'm sure he will, but I am amazed at the audacity!  I could scream!

Re: Freaking out!!!!

  • Yikes! I'm afraid of that happening, so I'm considering removing that whole online RSVP thing on my wedding website.

  • Absolutely crazy. Good luck to your FI, hope he can clear up the "miscommunication"! Not looking forward to receiving RSVPs.

  • I haven't gotten anything quite that bad, but I did have a couple RSVP with their two children who weren't invited. They say that putting "adult reception" on the invite is poor etiquette....but I'm starting to wish I did.

I've also had another family RSVP with their daughter's boyfriend....also not invited. At the end of the day, it's easier for us to make room for a few extra people than upset our guests, but in your case....it's a wedding not a keg party! Leave your friends home.

We put adult reception right on our invites. I know it is not great ettiquette, but I'm happy I did because then there is NO question whether kids are invited. We have a website, but as I have learned from our STDs, nobody looks at it anyway...

Sorry that this happened to you, luckily your FI will take care of it! Good luck!!!

That's EXACTLY what I said!  If this was a BYOB event in my backyard I might not be as irritated!
