Reception Spots? Rome/Utica/New Hartford...?

Sorry if this has been asked before ladies, but I'm wondering where some of you are having your receptions in this area? There aren't many venues that I can think of around here. So far, I've thought about The Beeches, Dibbles Inn, Hart's Hill Inn, and that's it. I'm pretty sure the Turning Stone Casino is WAY out of my price range. What are some other venues around here that are affordable? What are some ones to stay away from? Thank you so much for your help! :)

There is the Holiday Inn in Utica which I thought was affordable. Valley View Country Club, Danieles (by Pizza Hut in New Hartford), Twin Ponds (NICE PLACE), the Radisson in Utica, or you can look into having it at a hall like the Legion.  I think that's all I can think of.

Oriskany School had their prom at Dibble's and apparently their food wasn't very good. My FI and I looked there and it was a nice place but we didn't actually try the food.

I did a lot of research on pricing and what they offer so if you need any more information you can ask.

Thanks! I didn't realize Twin Ponds or Valley View. Where did you and your fiance decide on? Or are you still looking?

We decided on The Beeches. I walked in and fell in love with it and I like the fact that guests can go outside if they choose to. It also helps that his mother said she never wants to go there again haha.

Haha, too funny! Thanks for the advice. I just wish we had more options around here!

I've been to weddings at the Roselawn and the Rusty Rail in Canastota as well.  There's also the White Eagle Conference Center in Hamilton NY, not sure if that's out of your way or not

I know a few people using Stone barn castle... you do have to bring in your own caterer. The Radisson in Utica did an amazing job for me brothers wedding a few years ago.
