RD

Okay... I know its been done 1,000 times, but I am looking for suggestions for FMIL for the RD.  Our rehearsal is at PBS, so we want it to be downtown somewhere.  Something for about 60 people.... crazy, I know! I am not picky about where- any suggestions and recs would be great! TIA ladies!

You could do Montgomery Inn, Blackfinn, Rock Bottom, or maybe Benihana, just a few suggestions.

McCormick & Schmicks for sure!!!! That's where we are having ours and the room over looks Fountain Square. Awesome food and the coordinator there is wonderful. She is so great to work with and really works with your budget. I highly recommend that place for your RD!! If you want more info... just let me know.

We are doing Montgomery Inn Boathouse.  Out of all the nicer restaurants downtown it seemed to be the most affordable.

I 3rd the Boat House. Or Palomino's- they have an amazing view of the square which is extra cool if you have OOT guests.

Blackfinn and the Boathouse are 2 of the most reasonable places we found downtown and they are pretty close in price. The biggest difference is Blackfinn will do a set price per person for alcohol and the Boathouse does per drink. We ended up deciding on the Manhattan Harbour marina in Dayton, KY (about 2 mi from downtown)because it is right next to our church and a big bbq dinner is only 10.95 pp and the drink is about $8 pp (4-5 drinks beer or wine). We wanted something really laid back, but it would be neat to be downtown for OOT guests. GL!

I just wanted to reply to PP about McCormick & Schmick's--while I LOVE going there in a small group (service & food excellent), I recently went to a large event there and the service was terrible. We were seated for over an hour before we got our FIRST drink. It took almost 3 hours just to get through dinner. They only had time to serve us 2 drinks in that time, and the last one was by the time we were almost done with dinner. I know not everyone's expererience is the same and some are great, but just wanted to give a heads up to make sure they properly staff your event! GL!

Hi!  I went to grade school with your FI! Ha :)  Anyway, congrats!  We had our RD at McCormick & Schmicks in their private room overlooking Fountain Square.  It was perfect.  The food was great, the service was wonderful and the view was amazing.  I would HIGHLY recoomend it! If you have any questions, let me know!  Good luck!
