Thoughts on venues

Hello! I am looking into a reception at Harro East Ballroom, Big Tree Inn, or the Green Lantern Inn. Any thoughts? Good or bad!

I had a prom at Harro East, and it was gorgeous (no food at that event). The Green Lantern is in a completely different genre in my mind -- its much smaller, and like PP, I would find it suitable for a rehearsal dinner or small wedding.

Harro- has a beautiful old theater feel, keep in mind it has very high ceilings and even a 200 person wedding can feel small ther ebecause it it so big, but they have little rooms and balconies that you can take pictures in or a around that creates a beautiful back drop. The food is good, not fabulous but not bad, parking can be a nightmare.

Big tree inn - never been to a wedding there but he food in general is very good, and the room that they do weddings in is very pretty. If you have out of town guests or people that are going to want rooms to stay the INN can fill up quickly depending on dates and the SUNY Geneso schedule. The closest hotel is back toward 390 and if you've drank that too far to walk.

Green Lantern - no hotel accomds. But the food is good and it have a very unique feel to it, dpending on what rooms you'll be in. The antique feel is more upstairs but you can fit 50 ppl max I think, and downstair is more of your typical reception hall feel.
