are you from western ny? if you're not then just a bit of advice when choosing a place to live...a lot of places advertised on craigslist is in either west buffalo, east buffalo, and even south buffalo- these areas are generally not good neighborhoods. they are mostly low income families and are for lack of a better word- ghetto. some nicer areas are williamsville, amherst, clarence, pendleton, kenmore, the tonawandas-which are middle of the road-but still nice neighborhoods. downtown buffalo is nice too, however if you have children, in my opinion i wouldnt want to raise them there. good luck and i hope i've helped a bit!!

I lived in the Elmwood Village when I first moved to Buffalo in an apartment I found on craigslist was a good experience. North Buffalo is usually a safer bet the the west/east sides as well. I currently live @ Paradise Lane in Tonawanda - the best apartment complex I've ever been in. I'd highly recommend it.
