Help me find a hotel reception!

I live in  WNY, slightly closer to Rochester than Buffalo, but both are about an hour away.  I've been doing crazy online searching for a beautiful hotel reception site that is also relatively inexpensive (less than $40pp).  I've found several options in Buffalo, but nothing in Rochester.  Logistically, it will be easier for me to plan a Rochester wedding (I have alot going on there already).  Here are some things I'm loooking for:

Garden ceremony (does not have to be at the hotel)

Elegant but affordable banquet room

Patio access is a +++

Hotel rooms w/ a discounted block for out of town guests

Kid friendly

There will be lots of little kids at the wedding and if they need to bow out for a while I would like to have one of the hotel rooms set up for movies or early bedtimes.  I also don't like the idea of serving alcohol and then having everyone drive off to their hotels.

I'm going to check out the Millenium in Buffalo this weekend, but wondered if anyone else has any other ideas.

Also, it will be in July 2011

My sister got married at the Millenium (when it was the Sheraton) in their atrium. We had 100 people and it was beautiful in there and less than $40pp which included hand passed hors d' oeuvres. The ceiling opens up and the kids enjoyed the pool.

The Avon Inn is south of Rochester and might be what you're looking for.

-They have gardens you can use for a ceremony (for free I believe)
-There is a patio that wraps around the entire venue.
-The prices are very reasonable. We're having a sit down dinner (offering prime rib, chicken french, and vegetarian pasta) and it's coming in around 45 dollars a head including appetizers, dinner, and open bar for 5 hours.
-The banquet room isn't a traditional large open room. It is an antique inn so the room has quite a lot of character.

Some downfalls--they only have 15 (or so) rooms for rent. The maximum guests they can accommodate is 150 or 200 (can't remember which).

I was pricing weddings out here versus weddings in Rochester and Buffalo and the suburbs and weddings in the country areas are a lot more affordable, especially for vendors (cake, flowers, etc).

Good luck! You can PM me if you want more info or other vendor recommendations.

I got married at the Millennium this past January.  They were beyond accommodating and we had a great time there.  Plus the food is really good.

Not sure exactly how much it is, but you can check the Brookwood Inn in Pittsford/Victor. I've been to weddings there that were very nice, and the rooms are great too.
