Bakery Suggestions

Hi everyone - I was hoping someone may have a suggestion or two on a bakery in NEPA.I would like to surprise my fiance with a grooms cake - I was looking for a bakery that could screen the Pittsburgh Steelers logo on a cheesecake for me (two of his favorite things put together!) I've already spoken to Bakery Delite - their option was to recreate the logo out of icing (which doesn't sound too appealing) plus it was going to cost me almost $80 for a 16" cheesecake. I'm all for spending money, but for a cheesecake? Really?Any help would be much appreciated!!

I don't know for sure if Miss Elli's in Scranton does cheesecake, but I know they do photo cakes and I have always loved Miss Elle's cakes. So good.
On bed rest since Groundhog's Day and every day since has been exactly the same.

Bakery Delight is overpriced and Community is a nightmare to deal with, IMO.We are using The Cake Studio in Dupont. She does all kinds of sculpted cakes and they are delish. They have pics in their myspace.906-1867http://www.myspace.com/thecakestudio

Dont panic. Let me tell you my experience...My FI and I LOVE their cakes. We order them for all our family birthdays. They are delicious, so you will be getting a very good cake, but DON'T ask for anything special or out of the norm of what they normally do. We have stopped ordering cakes from them bc they have become increasingly more difficult to work with. We ended up getting my birthday cake for free this year bc they were SO difficult (Told my FI that chocolate icing and sprinkles would be "ugly", said what I wanted couldn't be done even though I had it multiple times before, said we never paid when my FI paid for everything in advance, didn't have half my order ready, etc) The man who works there is wonderful. I think he might be the owner, but he is rarely there and everyone else is TERRIBLE. When we first got engaged, we decided that is where we were going to get our cake. No questions asked. Their tastings are open to the public. They cut up cakes and set them out for anyone to taste. The place gets decently packed with people. We went to a tasting and we were one of 4 other couples there (and 2 of maybe 15 people in the place). It was chaotic. They plopped us down with a book and said "Pick your cake". I really wasn't thrilled with anything and I was having a hard time choosing. When someone finally came over to take our order, she was snippy bc I wasn't thrilled with anything they had in their book and I hadn't chosen a cake. After all, she was super busy. I own a pedestal stand that I will be using for our wedding cake. When I told her this she told me that they wouldn't use it. She also went on to tell me that you can't put anything gold on a cake bc it's not edible, which I know is a lie. I ended up choosing a cake I didn't like. I've since canceled it.My wedding coordinator has also had issues with them being resistant to doing anything out of their comfort zone and the quality of their customer service being not so great. If you can find a cake you like in their book, you will be golden. Their cakes really are delicious. Also, you have your venue on your side bc it comes with your package. You should be fine, but if you want something "different", be ready to fight for it.
