It got a little quiet around here again! How's the planning going????

I have 25 days left and I feel like I have a lot to do , even though they are little things, they still need to be checked off the list.  Escort Cards, OOT Bags, Finalizing Seating Chart, Parents gifts, Wrapping gifts, and finishing up our DIY card box.  I'm sure there is more, but that's all I can think of.  I have started my wedding day itenerary and a contact list of all the vendors (so they're all in one place, just in case).  My dress has to get taken in   My shoes are dyed orange.  My friend got me a garter but I still need to buy a throw away one...anyone know where I could get a cheap one?  Also did a budoir session for one of my fiance's gifts.  A friend of mine did it and is working on it now so I'm eager to see how that came out.  All for now!  Back to more planning!  Oh I have to get a unity candle yet too....I'm thinking etsy...they have cute ones.

I had planned on doing them 2 weeks before, but ended up doing them about 2 days before the wedding and it was super stressful. I totally underestimated the time it would take to get this finished.I'm sure there is more, but that's all I can think of. My DJ and my Venue both asked for a complete list of vendors in case there was any issues day of. Having that itinerary came in handy! Check Dollar Tree - they have cute garters for a buck!Also did a boudoir session for one of my fiance's gifts. A friend of mine did it and is working on it now so I'm eager to see how that came out. All for now! Back to more planning! Oh I have to get a unity candle yet too....I'm thinking etsy...they have cute ones. Hope your B-pics come out fantastic! I'm sure he'll love them! Did you try Michael's or AC Moore? They had some nice candle sets, plus you can use their coupons!

Working on finding a venue right now...it is looking like Inne at the Abingtons, Montdale Country Club or Trail's End Camp. I'm hoping to get it settled soon so I can send out my awesome Save the Dates!

I am at a standstill with planning. FI and I just bought a house so that has been consuming all of our time. I plan to get back into the swing of things in the new year. That will be my 6 month mark.*hag* please tell me you didn't order/make your save the dates before booking your venue. There is a good chance your date might not be available where you want to have your recepiton. I had to change "my date" because everywhere I looked was booked that day.

Oh I wish I hadn't....my parents didn't tell me they were vetoing the venue (which they had been fine with and called to confirm not two weeks before) until we came home this past weekend. Needless to say, it's been a bit stressful trying to find something that works with our date.

Oh no. Why did they veto the venue? Which place was it? Did you pay a lot for the save the dates? Can just eat that cost if you need to change your date? Sorry for a million questions. Good luck finding a new venue that fits your date. I know how tough it is. I actually didn't look at too many places because everything I kept finding was waaaay out of my price range or the places that weren't had already been booked for most of the spring. I thought looking 14 months out was enough time...sheesh.

*Still* It wasn't bad at all...maybe $50? So if we need to eat the costs, we need to eat them...I would just rather not! We were looking at Woodloch, which is beautiful, but my parents crunched the numbers again after they had said it was okay and it turns out it wasn't. I just keep thinking that the only thing that matters in the end is that we get married!

Why not stick with the location you want and you pay the difference?

I would, but we're paying for everything else....and we're on a tighter budget then they are. So we're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I think the problem has been solved! Yay!My mom called Montdale today and they didn't have our date available. FI and I sat down tonight and talked about changing the date and we're going to do it.We've moved to the 23rd and have a venue for a much better price than the original. Thank God this stressful part is over with.

I'm stressing!  I've got a ways to go, but it seems like I'm not getting much done.  I work 2 jobs and my FI is on a schedule opposite of mine, so being together in the same place at the same time (while awake!) is a rarity.  We've booked the venue and signed the contract there, but that's as far as we've gotten.  I'm hoping to take one big thing a month and tackle it...so next month is photographer.  Hopefully anyway, wish me luck!
