    I wish this board was a little more active!

    Our planning is going well, just payed off my dress (along with the veil and shoes) and picked it up last Friday.  We also just got the tuxes ordered last week as well.. other than that there isn't much that needs to get done right away.  We might have found an officiant (bad luck on this one) so fingers crossed there!  I'm really just waiting for school to finish up in May to get going on projects. :)

    I couldn`t agree with you more!!!

    I`m working on my diy table numbers and looking for gifts for the girls. I took a little break from the wedding stuff bc I got overwhelmed.
    What is everyone else doing?

    i'm slowly narrowing down venue choices. We decided on a date! August 31. 2012.

    Since its a holiday weekend, we are probably going to book early.

    Got a date. May 13th 2012.
    Found a venue we like and we are going to call tomorrow to see if we can come back and talk with the lady to ask just a few more little questions and then tell her we've made our choice to have the wedding there.
    Other then that .... just been online alot looking up idea

    When we first started planning and setting our date we actually set a May 2012 wedding.. but I convinced him that I couldn't wait that long! lol but this was back in August last year so it's not as far away now for you girls that set it for next year. Happy planning! :)

    I also wish this board was more active!

    I am chugging along in wedding planning.  We just sent the save the dates out.  Yay.
    I also found my wedding dress, and I am in LOVE with it.  another YAY!

    So far we have not had any tieups.  Thankfully.

    On a NWR crappy note..... I think I have a kidney stone, but I have never had one so I am not sure, and I am being crabby about going to the doctor (since it is really inconvenient for me..... AND my doctor does not always seem super helpful when II am sick).  I was in such bad pain this morning, right now it is tolerable!

I've never had them but I know people who did and it just sounds awful.  I wouldn't mess around with it though, bad doctor or not it could be better for you to get an appointment just to make sure.  Have you tried switching doctors if you're not very fond of this one?  Sometimes it takes a bit of searching to do before you find a decent one.  Hope you feel better soon!</div>

    I could not agree with you more NEPA board is too slow...let's get it going!!
    I have nailed down my venue...The Colonnade in Scranton...
    Now I am looking for an officiant!  Any Advice?  What is the normal cost for them?

    We finally found our officiant this past week, the mayor of the city!  He's got another wedding like an hour before ours though so apparently he's well liked?  I had such a hard time finding someone so I called up some  family members to help out.

    Well lets see..... We finally put a deposit down on our wedding venue.. we are getting married at the Sweetwater Country Club in Pennsburg, PA in June 2012!  SO excited. Now it is officially, official!!  =)   I also found my dress.  I knew it was the one when I walked out of the fitting room and my mom, FI mom, my soon-to-be sister in law and the lady at the store all cried!!  haha! 

    I think now I want to book our photographer so that I can get some "engagment" pictures taken for our save-the-dates.  What do you think?  Good idea?  Tacky?

    I have a date in mind, also a venue, I just have to wait til we have the money to reserve the date. I'm sure the date we want is available (its a Friday and at a golf resort/hotel, in a small town). Have 3 out of 4 girls in my party already (a bit soon I know, but I couldn't wait any longer).=] Now I am just working my little butt off to make sure I can get the wedding I want (paying for it myself, and have NO money saved up due to being laid off for 2 months).

    PS. I like to use ()'s a lot apparently. And smileys are my addiction when typing. =P
