Vancouver/Whistler Honeymoon

Hi Vancouver Ladies!

My fiance and I are getting married on October 1st of this year.  We're both dying to visit Vancouver, and especially Whislter (we are huge skiiers!).  We know if we choose Whistler as a honeymoon spot that we cannot take our honeymoon right away... and we are ok with that.  We are thinking around Thanksgiving.  

I just wanted to know from you locals if its a safe bet that skiing will be open the week before/after Thanksgiving?   And what else would you recommend to do in the area other than skiing?

    I assume you mean American thanksgiving and yes then that would be a fairly safe bet that skiing would be up and running by the week after.
    I took the train up to Whistler this summer and that was an amazing trip even for locals - if you can afford it I would highly recommend it.
    What other types of activities are you looking for?

    Whistler usually opens early-mid November, but the spaces book up extremely fast especially on busy weekends. If you're serious about this weekend, I'd suggest making your accommodation reservations soon!
