How/Where to Get Legally Wed in Vancover?

We are having our civil ceremony in Vancouver, BC, but have no clue how it all works (we live in the not-gay-friendly states).

From what I've seen online, it is not done in a courthouse like we usually have here in the states. Is this right? Where are all of you getting married??? Our hope is to do it somewhere "official" like a courthouse because we aren't given the right to have that in the states.

There are marriage commissioners you can have come to your wedding venue.  Google that, I would guess...

You can have a civil ceremony at City Hall if you wanted, but I think you would still have to hire a marriage commissioner.
