Newbies and lurkers, pipe up!

I noticed that Kelliebellie2 did in a post below (and rather eloquently, I might add).  So where are the rest of you?  Who are you? What are your wedding plans?  How are they coming along?  Do you have a passionate dislike of IHOP? ;)We need you all to pipe up more - this board only functions as well as it does because members share their thoughts and concerns.  Where else do you think all of us old married hags got the ideas for our weddings back in the ice ages? So speak up, share your opinions - we'd love to hear them.  :)

    Hi, I'm a lurker.  J & I will be getting married Oct 2, 2010 in Dayton.  We got engaged in May.  I'm currently gathering ideas and coming up with projects that will keep me busy this winter.  I like reading everybody's reviews so that I know who and what to look for.

    Haha Heather, I love your wording.But yes, us "old married hags" had a very active and alive board to ask questions and bounce ideas, so come out of the woodwork! It's definitely okay to have a busy board!

    I guess I'll join in too. FI and I are looking at a March 2011 wedding. I'm in law school here, so I need lots of times to plan!! So any advice at all that you guys have would be great. I know from lurking that you are an attorney HR, so I'm sure you might be able to offer me some great insight!!

    I'm not a lurker (well I guess I somewhat am these days) or a newbie, but I thought I'd chime in, since I feel like I've been on here forever and am never going to leave! My Fi Quinton and I got engaged in May '08 and originally set a date for Aug. 28, 2009, but then never proceeded with planning. We still don't have a new date set (hopefully sometime next year, although I should probably get my rear in gear for that even!) It gets a little old to be on here and see so many brides come and go, and I've gone nowhere, but I still love the board and all the advice! By the time we do actually get married I should be a freaking pro!!

    K, I'll do an introduction even though I've posted on here a few times. FINALLY have a wedding date, I've been engaged for almost a year but I too am in law school and planning around that is uber-fun. Plus we are going through park weddings and they use that awesome plan where you can't book til like 5 minutes before your wedding. October 16, 2010

    I'm pretty new on this board! I'm Rose =) DH and I got married on 9/5 and moved to Cincinnati from Chicago the week after the wedding. I was on the Chicago Board mostly (and a semi-lurker on the Sept 09 Board) before the wedding. DH was living in Cincinnati for the last 4 mos. before our wedding, so it got crazy for him driving back and forth from Chicago to here... I'm glad that we're finally both here. I'm waiting for our pro-pics, but I'll post them in a bio when I get them all =).

    Hello, I am Andrea and I have posted on the boards before but dont think I have ever really been introduced.(or havent felt like I actually know who everone is like most of the knotties) My Fi and I are getting married May 8th 2010. We have been together for over 11 years. (I know right) We have two beautiful daughters 11 and 8 yrs old. Now is finally the time for the wedding I always wanted. My Fi and I have been through a lot together, with me finishing nursing school and the recent death of my father:{ (Dec 25, 2008) so my wedding planning are happy and somewhat sad (miss daddy) but they are coming along.

    I guess I'll post too :) I've posted some questions before but FI and I got engaged on Valentine's day and have set the date for 10.02.10 (1 year away!!). I graduated from UC with a bach. of biology & physics this March & I'm going to MSJ right now to get my masters of nursing. I graduate in Aug. 10 so I'll have a month to relax before the wedding. We just booked Party Pleasers for the DJ last week and are meeting with baker the next 2 wknds so hopefully we'll be able to book that next. My biggest worry is the church so if anyone has any suggestions let me know!

    I've posted a couple of replies, but I guess I'm sort of in the lurker column too...I just like to read about what everyone is up to and concerned about (it makes me feel better about all of the stuff I freak out about too lol). So, I'm Molly, engaged to Kyle. He proposed in June on our 2 year anniversary. We are getting married May 15, 2010 and I can't WAIT. We're having an outdoor ceremony, I've already got the dress, the shoes, the BM dresses/shoes/accessories, the bakery/cake topper, the venue, the flowers, almost everything for the centerpieces, the invitations, the photographer, and possibly the DJ...Clearly I wasted no time lol. :) Oh, our colors are royal blue and champagne and my flowers are magnolias, hydrangeas, and a few orchids here and there. Well, I guess that's it so, hello everyone!

    I used to be much more active a while ago, but my life has picked up like crazy. I am Linda, married to Criss and marrying him again on June 26, 2010. He's Ecuadoran, so we had a civil ceremony down there for his friends/family, and June will be my family/friend's time to share in the celebration with our church wedding.I have most of the wedding planned in my mind, but my frugality has been working against my setting anything in stone. We have the ceremony and reception venue booked, though. :)Now I'm trying to actually make things happen!

    See ladies?  Now was that so hard? ;)It's great "meeting" you all.  Now make sure you make good on jumping in and commenting on threads when you have something to say.Also, HB, I think I remember you.  You used to have a pic in your siggy of you and your FI/H ...maybe on boat?  Something water in the background, right?

    hr-- I did have a pic of me and FI/H. It was the photo that's on the front page of my bio. It's in a beach town called Montanita, but I don't think you can see water in the background. We did HAVE water in the background though :)

    Hi! I'm Emily and my FI and I got engaged 6 months ago and will be getting married 10/9/10.  We have the church, the reception site, and photographer set up.  I'm trying to stay ahead of the game to eliminate stress, so far, so good.  Thanks for all the advice on here.  I'm always looking for advice here.
