Mt. Norquay or SilverTip Resort Weddings

Has anyone been to a wedding or had their wedding at Mt. Norquay in Banff or SilverTip Golf Course in Canmore?

I can't find much in the way of reviews and want to get a feeling of what a wedding could be like at either of both of these places!

    I've been to Mt Norquay and it would be an interesting location, at the ski hill.  I've just seen pictures posted of a big party at Norquay and it looked really cool.

    IMO Silver Tip is a bit blah, traditional "I'm getting married at a country club".

    Have you visited either?

    Thanks for the advice. I have an appointment with both in December but I was leaning towards Mt. Norquay for several reasons. Hopefully visiting will help make up my mind. The only problem is that I won't be getting married in December, so to some extent, I will have to go by the pics and my imagination.

    I agree with the country club being traditional - but it sure is pretty!! lol.

    Silvertip is a great locale would for an outdoor ceremony. The ceremony has a great gazebo and wonderful mtn view.  The scenery does it all for you. The silvertip employees are great to work with. I am a current bride-to-be but also work part-time for a good friend who has a wedding planning/wedding decor company and we have worked several times with silvertip.  I think its a great venue with beautiful views and natural decor indoors as well.
