Cake

Does anyone have good recommendations on who to use for a cake in Cincinnati?  Our wedding has a ton of people due to large families so I'm looking for a place that tastes good and is reasonable.

Tastes good?  Maribelle Cakery - the absolute best cake we tasted in CIncinnati.  Con?  They are expensive, I won't lie.  Definitely worth it, though (we've actually been to a couple weddings since, and guests have commented to us about OUR cake at those later weddings).I have reviews of the other cakeries we considered in my blog.gl

Weddings by Patricia. It's in the bridal district right around the corner from Bridal & Formal. They have tons of flavors/filling options and can literally do anything you ask (I have some pretty different ideas and they never batted an eye). They are SO pleasant and had the best prices that I found. I am sooo in love with my cake design and all of the flavors we chose. I can't say enough about them.

I used Fantasy in Frosting. They might not look like a great shop, but their work is wonderful and their cake is VERY fresh. We loved their work and are still getting compliments.

We are using Patricia's Cakes, but I would also like to recommend Tres Belle (she's cheaper), but we loved how Patricia's tasted... very yummy.

Check out A Spoon Fulla Sugar. We tried lots of places and this was hands down our favorite for taste and price.

We're using the BonBonerie. The white chocolate icing is delicious and they have a lot of interesting yummy cake flavors to chose from. I think it's $3.25 per slice if you chose one flavor and $3.50 if you want 2 different cake flavors in your cake. I know it's not the cheapest in town, but it's not the most expensive either. We're having a relatively small wedding so the price was fine for us. And I'm very picky so I'm just glad I didn't fall in love with the most expensive cake available. : P

We went with Once Upon a Time Bridal and Florist. They only charge $1.85 a serving. They also did my best friends wedding and there cake was amazing. www.onceuponatimebridalandflorist.com They are also opening a new bridal shop in January. Too bad that is when my wedding is or I would have gotten my dress from her too. Denise works from her home now but there store will be open soon. She was so wonderful to work with. Check it out.
