Hair/Makeup

Where is everyone getting their hair and make up done?  I have thought about bringing my wedding party to a salon but I think it would be a lot less stressful to find someone to come to the house.  Has anyone ever hired someone to do this and who would you recommend for each?

    I had my hair stylist (Sam Hills with Salon Cherry Bomb) and MUA (Nancy with Brideface) come to the hotel room to do everything for all of it.I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend both of them.Pics of their work (and contact info) in my married bio.

    We are going to Paragon Salon downtown and recommend Jean Folchi for makeup.

    I second Jean Folchi.  We are having our wedding at a hotel downtown so I wanted to find someone that would come down to us (both hair and make-up). We are using Jen Nally for our hair.  She has come very recommended on these boards, and actualy when I booked Jean for my make-up she recommended Jen for my hair.

    I did hair at Salon Cherry Bomb with Sam Hills and Heidi Mckenna came to us. So right when we were done with our hair we went back to my house to get our makeup done. It worked out perfectly and I HIGHLY rec. both :-).

    I get to cheat a little bit... My cousin and friend, both are BMs, are also hairstylists. My cousin will do my dye job, and my friend will do my updo and also my makeup.  My friend works at Waves on the Westside and she is so good at hair.

    Were going to Mitchell's in Kenwood. I haven't had my trial yet, its Nov. 14th.

    hrparker.... was your make up air brushed and does brideface do regular also??  Also, how were the eyelashes??  I think that would feel sooo wierd!!

    Regular (I didn't ask for airbrush), and the lashes were AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.She's applied them three time: for my bpics, for Steph Carson's open house, and for the wedding, and I LOVED them everytime.  Totally comfortable, totally natural, only better.  :)I've already contacted her about coming in for an appointment when I'm in town for the IL's holiday party, even if she only has time for the lashes.  ;)

    My cousin also used Sam Hills and he did a GREAT job!!  I love both of those vendors but they are a little pricey.  Did your bridesmaids care about forking out a little extra or am I just being paranoid??
