Shade Trees and Evergreens

Hi Ladies,

Is anyone familiar with the venue Shade Trees & Evergreens located Frederick/Libertytown area?
I found 2 reviews on wedding wire and was hoping there would be more insight here with you lovely ladies!

Any feedback you can give...would be greatly appreciated!

That is a beautiful place and if I wasn't on such a strict budget I would definitely want my wedding there.  They have a page of FB that has a lot of pictures.  I think the rental charge is $3000.  This includes an all day rental with tables and chairs.  They seem to book up pretty quickly though.  I just checked and I think they only have 5 more Saturday's for next year.

I would check their FB page.  You might be able to talk to some of the past brides.

We're getting married there in September. I am SOOO excited for it!

find their facebook page... it does have SO MANY PICTURES!!

And it also shows the calendar for the next two years... so you can see which dates are open. We ended up picking a Friday in September because once I visited the place, I had to have it! And we desperately wanted it in September, so we just compromised. We figured people could take a long weekend!

I looked at that place and when I went I was told that it is 3000 for the day not including the tables and chairs.  It is a beautiful place though.

I'm getting married there in October   Our contract states that it does include the tables & chairs so I'm not sure why they told you it didnt. 

It really is a beautiful venue, it is very well kept and we're so excited!

Yes, this place is beautiful... but trust me, you don't want the headache!
It was wonderful when we went to look at it last summer but was a total crapper on our wedding day. It just looked run down. The dance floor was weathered and chipped, stones were loose... I am not sure where the $3000 goes once you send the check. Certainly doesnt seem like it goes towards the event grounds!
Also, the owners are probably the most rude, unprofessional group of people I have ever met and dealt with.
I plan on writing bad reviews across the board. I would hate for another couple to experience these people. You can find MUCH better for $3000!

I completely disagree with that last poster, but I had an great experience there.  I just got married there on 10/29 in the middle of the random October snow storm.  The staff were extremely helpful that morning- figuring out the heaters and salting the pathways and such.  With snow coming down outside, while my guests (I had 214) were dancing, eating, and enjoying themselves inside the tent was magical.  Everyone raved about the location.  It was like we were all transported to a secret location in the middle of nowhere for this special event. 

My only regret is that the snow storm prevented an outdoor ceremony and most outdoor pictures, but Kay said we could go back at anytime and reshoot photos. 

The grounds are gorgeous and the bridal suite and bathrooms are great for weddings.

I have to disagree with the poster above as well, we just booked this place for our June 2013 wedding, and I couldn't be more excited.  Kay answered all of our questions, and we had a lot of them, and then just let us be to make our decision.  Check out the Facebook page, pictures of multiple weddings, and a new one of just the venue, so you can see it without the distraction of someone else's beautiful day.  Good luck!
