To Favor or not to favor? That is the question....

So my fiance and I are in the midst of wedding planning and are looking for ways to stay within budget or in some instances, cut items from the budge.  Favors for the guests are currently on the table for possible "cuts".

Favors or no favors?

I have never ever ever gotten a wedding favor that I honestly really cared about. Now, if they are food related I do enjoy them...but your average wedding favor? If you skipped them I wouldn't miss them. If you are looking to save money I'd say skip them.

Exactly this.  Favors were the first to go from our list of to-dos.  Another way of looking at it for us was that we are trying to be very "green" and spending money on something that guests will just leave behind and/or throw away and ultimately be added to a landfill was just not something we wanted to do.

i agree with all. i've gotten matchbooks, mini picture frames, candies, tea cups, lifesavers- you name it, and while its very nice, my memory of the event wouldnt change had they not been there.

we had planned to ex favors but i love DIY stress so we burned a cd mix of "unusual" love songs and having them double as escort cards-with the guests name and table # on the cover

Budget vs. favors?  Budget wins, hands down.  Favors ... gone.

    Best of luck!
