Wedding at the Belvedere in Baltimore

Has anyone had their reception at the Belvedere hotel in Baltimore (truffles catering)?  Comments?!

My husband and I had our reception there May 2010. We were very happy with everything! Our reception was in the Charles Room on the first floor, which I think is nicer and goes with any theme/color. The whole process of planning with Truffles Catering was so smooth and fun! Another great thing is that SugarBakers in Catonsville makes the wedding cake and they gave us a free 8 inch cake on our 1 year anniversary! I find it much better to eat a fresh cake rather than a thawed out one from the previous year.They have many options, you get a bridal suite 4 hours before so that makes for great pictures. The building outside is great for pictures too, with the beautiful light up sign. Let me know if you have any specific questions cause I can go on and on. The only thing I did not like was the clean up crew. They were throwing out items like favors, custom made napkins, and other items our guests wanted to keep. They were also taking our guest's drinks away when they were not done, but if they saw a drink left on the table with no one around they cleaned it up. The fact that they offer 2 bars helped with the drink issue because it wasnt a hassle to get another but it is just something I didnt like. These are things you find out after the wedding day!

FYI to you and other brides, do NOT use David M. Bellen as your photographer. Unless you enjoy positioned pictures only, no creativity, and poor quality. I regret using him and wish I had booked with the same company that we booked our videographer through (The Pros). Beware David M. Bellen, his website just shows how dated he is, but his prices are ridiculous for what he gives you.
