Hotels in Ocean City=Expensive!

I am trying to reserve a block of rooms for September 10, 2011 and all of the hotels with good reviews are EXPENSIVE! I have no idea what to do. 

Where did you OC brides book for your guests, and was it a good choice?

Hey! Thanks so much for your help! Thank goodness it is not bike week! That is the next week then sun fest is the following week.  So, we are getting married the weekend after Labor Day at the Ocean Pines Beach Club on 49th.  

I am looking into the Quality Inn on the Boardwalk.  They updated half of the hotel last winter and the other half this winter.  I am definitely open to ALL other options.  It does not have to be right now the beach either. A LOT of my guests have never been to OC so I just want it to be clean and fairly easy to find.

Perfect! Thank you! That is exactly what I am expecting to pay.  Not the $300 the Marriott, one of the Quality Inns, the Hilton, and Holiday inn all quoted me for that weekend.  Thanks again!

Prob. not.  I don't think I would want my guests to have to travel 30 minutes after our wedding.  But thanks for the idea.

I am getting married in June and I blocked off rooms at the Dunes and the Grand.  I was planning on September 17th - yes bike week!! Then I changed it:)
