Suttons Bay Wedding

Anyone who's had a wedding in the Suttons Bay/Lake Leelanau area...where did your guests stay? Did people rent houses, or did you find some hotels/motels/ B&Bs? Any suggestions would be GREAT! Also, where did you have your rehearsal dinner, and would you commend it agian?

    Hi- I am a mother of bride (2x this year) and live in Lake Leelanau- 1st daughter married in March in Glen Arbor and out of town folks stayed at The Homestead - grooms parents rented a big condo and we had an informal pizza dinner there which was fantastic- 2nd daughter married in June at our farm and her inlaws rented several cottages on Lake Leelanau and had a barbeque which was also great. A couple suggestions would be North (upscale restaurant nearby) or have you looked into Northport Bay Retreat (north of Omena on M-22) They have a huge ($) place with 17 rooms and a super kitchen etc... When you split ip the per room cost it would be about $100 each a night- a real upscale place- check out vrbo.com for house rentals. Nancy
