Choosing a Venue: The Dilemma

Gah. We have a wedding location dilemma. We live in Costa Mesa and are torn between a Temecula vineyard wedding for its natural beauty and slight destination feel, or the local Laguna Beach (or similar locality) wedding for its convenience to our guests. All of our guests would have to make the drive out to Temecula for the wedding and pay for a hotel room. That is giving us hesitation because we feel like we'd be putting them out. Are we being overly worried;  do people figure getting a room for the night is normal and even preferable to driving home after a wedding? Has anyone had a similar issue or a Temecula wedding to report on?

My wedding is going to be in Hemet at Hearts Home Farm. Practically everyone of my family and friends of whom i am inviting are from Orange. While some joke about having to make the trip all the way out there....it's only a few. And the way almost all my guests look at it as....they love me and its one day...the most important day of my life....so what's a couple hours drive for someone they love. Some people are going to get hotel rooms, some may just drive back. Do what your gut tells you is the right place, and just go with it! Tell them dont bring a gift but get a hotel room...that their being there is the gift for the ones who can't afford it! I was torn between  the heritage museum in santa ana/costa mesa or french estate in orange, but the one in hemet was looked at on a whim and ended up being the best place. like i said go with your gut. the ones that you'll want most to be there...will be and will make the drive!
