Guest List Fear

I have been told to plan for a bigger guest list of people to invite and plan for a number of people not to come. I would like to have 50-60 people but my invatation list has grown to like 80-90! I fear what if people decide they wan to come and make arangments to. Should I only send out the number of invites as guests I want at the wedding? Any advice?

Well this is tough.  I bet about 10% won't show. So if you invite 80 about 68 would show.

Just a word to the wise- if you're going to invite 50 people, then you need to expect 50 people to show up.  Don't expect people "might not" show up.  I didn't invite anyone that I thought might not show up.  And every person I invited came.

You don't want to run out of places for people to sit, because you were hoping some of them would't show up!  And you definitely don't want to spend money on people that might flake!
