Does anyone know a good but not too expensive DJ? I'm thinking somewhere close to $600. Thanks!

That is a pretty low budget.  have you considered just using an ipod?  Does your venue already have speakers?  They you could put that $600 towards other things.  Just a thought.  Good Luck

Echoing Elle, that is a low budget to hire a DJ, typically you want to budget somewhere around $1k. Check out http://www.silverdiscentertainment.com/ - he starts around that price point and goes up from there.

I am just catching up on the boards, haven't been on in a couple of weeks it seems. There are so many DJ questions, so I'm just gonna paste the same message. I don't know how long you need a DJ for but this is the one I found with a price close to your budget.


I am going with Fred Davis from Sound Garden  951.367.7654. He is awesome and gives awesome rates. Much lower than the others have said. Give him a call and tell him Marcella Munoz referred you, maybe he will give you the same deal he is giving me.

He really is awesome. I love his entire set up, it's making the music aspect of our wedding effortless. He works with a more well known company but also does his own business on the side. He uses the same equipment ans setup as well. He quoted me about $300.00 less than the well kown company.
