Beach/park for AHR?

I haven't yet set a venue for our AHR in May, and I probably should get on that.  Here's our requirements:

- decent parking
- BBQs preferably, and/or the ability to bring in our own food
- beach access preferred, but we're flexible
- low rental fee
- available on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday, haven't set a date)

We don't plan on telling them it's a wedding, just a party.  (Which is true, the only wedding-ish element we're going to have is a cake.)  We live in Anaheim, but as long as it's within about a half hour, we're flexible.

Any suggestions?  I just don't know the beaches that well.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. I don't know what an AHR is but we held our rehearsal dinner for 100 people at Bolsa Chica State Beach (just north of Huntington Beach). They have an on-site catering company (that is pretty expensive) so we told them we were going to barbeque ourselves but then just ordered catered food and brought it in. For a fee you can get a waiver to be allowed to serve alcohol. They have covered ramadas on paved and grassy areas so you don't have to eat on the sand. It was honestly the most amazing location for a party and the only way we could have afforded to serve so many people. I highly recommend you check it out.

AHR = at-home reception.  The wedding's in Vegas, we want to throw a beach party when we get back.

Thanks for the info, we'll definitely check that out!
