Make-up, Hair, and flowers

Hi I am new to this. I am getting married in a year and a month at Newport. I am getting a hotel the day of the wedding and I am wondering if there is a good make-up and hair that I can go or they can come to me? I want them to do mine, my MOH and my daughter hair and make up. No make up on my daughter lol she hates make-up she is only 7.  I would like one that is a reasonable price.

Also looking for a good florist to do Boq, Boo, and Cor. I live in riverside but was thinking of getting someone by Newport.

Do you want someone to come to you for hair and make up or are you willing to go to a salon because there are lots of good salons in Newport.

For flowers, I really love our florist, Amy at Bride and Bloom Flowers.  She does incredible work that I saw at a friend's wedding. Good Luck.

I am still debating if I want to go to a salon or have them come. I want to be able to be comfortable and not be rushing. My Wedding is at 5 what time is a good time if I do go to a salon or what time should the person come? Sorry so many questions.

i had my hair done at the salon by my hairstylist, who i HIGHLY recommend-  Liz @ The Retreat, which is located in Costa Mesa (near Newport) at the Lab.  It's close to Newport...but depending on where in Newport, it's all relative, I suppose.  My reception was at 5 and I got my hair done at 10am.  My mom also came with me, and she had her hair done by another sylist (blow out) by Andrea there.  It's cheaper if you go to the salon, but if it's more convenient to have them come to you, it may be worth spending the extra moeny.  In terms of makeup-- I had Amy Huynh (http://www.amyhuynh.com/) do my makeup and she came to me at the hotel.  She travels for free (up to 25 miles from Garden Grove, i think).  Her prices are very reasonable and she did an incredible job on my makeup, my sister's (MOH), and my mom's.  She also does airbrushing.

You should try setting up your timeline backwards to help you figure out what time you should be doing what.  You probably want at least an hour before the reception to either relax or take pictures (or whatever).  So, the latest you would want your hair/makeup done would be at 4....and it takes about 1-2 hours depending on the artist.   In my opinion, working backwards on your timeline is much easier

I love my hair and makeup girl, Andrea of Something Blue Stylists and I adore my florist, Cindy of Bohemian Rose Designs. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cindy. She did the flowers for my bridal shower and everyone was AMAZED with how gorgeous they were. She is super sweet and attentive to details. The first time I met with her she listened to what I wanted and gave me perfect ideas to expand off of my vision.  She is always available for questions and she looks at the bigger picture.
