Lionscrest Manor--Advice??

Hi everyone! I am considering Lionscrest Manor in Lyons as a potential venue and I am wondering if anyone has had or is having their wedding there. It looks great, but I am slightly concerned about it's location. Do guests stay in Lyons? Or do they stay in Boulder? And is transportation at the end of the reception an issue? Any insight or feedback on this venue would be much appreciated!

Re: Lionscrest Manor--Advice??

  • Hello!

My Fiance and I considered Lionscrest but after we researched lodging and transportation we decided against it.  Guests would either need to stay in boulder or Estes Park which meant we would probably need to rent a shuttle due to people drinking/safety.  A shuttle would also have a hard time getting up to the parking lot.

    I hope that helps...

    Good luck!
  • It is beautiful my freind got married there and guests stayed in cabins up the thomas river, some stayed in longmont, others in estes, and few in boulder. They do not offer transportation so you would have to figure out transportation-when my freind got married there each group assigned there own dd and then after the wedding all the young ppl went down to boulder and hit up the bars and walked back to the house we had rented so if you plan on having an open bar i would not reccomend it the roads are windy down from lion crest
  • I think if you are willing to invest in shuttles for your guests, it is a beautiful venue. I was a bridesmaid at a Lionscrest wedding last summer and it was amazing--beautiful scenery, great onsite coordinators, etc. Guests stayed in Boulder. But the bride and groom had shuttles for guests. Without the shuttles, I think this venue would be hard. The roads are definitely windy. that being said, if you CAN do the shuttles it worked out really well and was probably one of the best weddings I've ever been to. :)

Most people do shuttles as the road down is dangerous for drunk guests. Great venue!
