Columbia Reception Locations

Hello! I was wondering if anyone held or knows of anyone who held their reception at the Holiday Inn or Courtyard Marriott. My FI and I are looking at both of these locations and we really can't make up our minds. We want to get the best deal and the best location. They are so similar though when you get do to the details. I was hoping for feedback from someone who used their service.

Not sure if you have already picked a place, but I am having my reception in Oct at the Marriott based on a friend's recommendation. Although they require a $5000 minimum, they will do a lot for that amount (catering, drinks, set up/clean up, audio/visual equipment, free room for you and your groom etc). The staff are all really professional and very attentive to you and your groom. I was comparing the Marriott with the Country Club, Expo Center, and some other places and I ended up choosing the Marriott because it was "more bang for the buck" so to speak. Hope this helps!

Hello! It's funny because FI and I actually signed on the dotted line with the Marriott a few weeks ago. Like you I was between it and the Holiday Inn. Both were very similar and I got a lot of of the Marriott. We are getting married July 2, 2011. You will have to post pictures of your wedding. I would love to see how you decorate thier reception location!!
