Hi Ladies & Gents, I used to check out the boards while planning my wedding and found it an invaluable resource from unpaid advertisers. Now I'd just like to post some recomendations in case it helps someone else!DJ- Vynce Pham of Music Phreek, He was great, everything ran smoothly from our first meeting with him, to the reception.  Ask about his dance of the generations, and your guests will remember it forever! He let us come to his home (and even bring our dog) to help make song choices, and at the end he gave us a cd of all the reception music. That was an amazing surprise!DOC- Courtney Tibbets of After the Engagement, was very helpful for the day of, and she ran our rehearsal so I didn't have to be the one asking everyone to pay attention. She has such a calm demeanor, I am SO glad she was there on my big day!Officiant- Pastor Mike, he was very kind and I loved his calm delivery of our ceremony. Our guests even commented on how great his voice & delivery sounded. To be totally honest though he told us we could pick and choose every part of our ceremony. We wrote out exactly what we wanted and he did not stick to our "script". He is such a nice, kind man, but it was dissapointing to be up in front of our friends and family having to repeat ring vows we did NOT pick out. He'd promised to be early and I found out after that he showed up very close (like within minutes) of our ceremony time. Our guests never knew anything was wrong, but we did. Ceremony Musicians- Kimberly Empeno of San Diego String Ensembles and her cellist friend, Emily Morris were fantastic. I cried, not to be cheesy, when she played the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to during our initial meeting. They were very reasonable for live musicians and also played during our cocktail hour.Location- The Dana on Mission Bay. We had the cermony on the bay lawn and the reception in their ballroom. I loved that since they only have 1 ballroom we weren't competing with other receptions, bands, crowds, etc. Angie Kemp and her banquet team were attentive and thorough.  We loved the Dana and were thrilled that our guests could stay and be safe and enjoy San Diego.Cake- Sweet Cheeks Bakery made our cake. It was great and the ladies there are so nice. We even had a special 40th anniversary cake made for my parents and they put a photo of them on their wedding day on it. It was a great surprise and my parent's loved it!Photographer- Jay Rubin from letterten.com was our photographer...now we know Jay from a kickball league my husband is in (yes...I said kickball) but that didn't stop him from treating us like we were royalty. He is a professional photographer and really worked hard to capture our special day. Jay snapped some amazing shots for us. Jay even went to Kinkos at 3am to print a few shots to give us the next morning before we left for our honey moon! Hope these can help,Alison
