Photographer Recommendations

Hello San Diego Brides!I need y'alls opinions.  A friend of mine is getting married in August 2010 and she is currently looking into photographers.  Would you all have any photographer recommendations that is reasonably priced? She found a gal named Kelly Wood.  Has anyone heard of her?  Good or bad?

I just recently got married in St. Louis and i love my photographer.  We got an 8 hour package that included 2 photographers, copy writes of the photos, the album and engagement session for $2,200.  But that is midwest pricing :DMy brother in law who got married in Chicago paid $5,000 for a 6 hour package and 1 photographer.  I don't know how the prices run in San Diego but I'm hoping the range of 2,500 to 5,000 is reasonably priced!

I'm also using Melissa McClure. Her work is truly amazing and she is reasonably priced for what she offers. My wedding is in 18 days so I can give a full review of her work soon. :)

We had a wonderful experience with Studio Z photography.  We spent about $2500 and had 2 photographers for about 8 1/2 hours.  This also included our engagement photos, gorgeous wedding album, and 2 albums for both our Mom's too.  www.studiozimage.com

Has anyone used 2 Rings and a Dress? I'm planning my SD wedding from the east coast and it's been difficult when it comes to meeting vendors in person.

We used Storybook Photography and love our pictures! Briana did an amazing job and went above and beyond on our wedding day. Her prices are very reasonable too.

I would reccommend  Xavier Bailey (www.xavierbailey.com) - I used to work with him back in the day and he is taking pictures of my husband and I in a few months.  He has a way of making everyone feel really comfortable, he's great to work with and he's very talented. I'm not 100% sure of his prices but I believe they are reasonable.

I would also reccommend Beki Dawn Photography (www.bekidawnphotography.com). She will have cheaper prices than Xavier but she's also very good.  I have not worked with her personally but I've known her for awhile and her pictures are great!  She is photographing one of my best friend's weddings in July.

Check out both their sites.  I am a big wedding photography site lurker and these people are both talented and great people.  I wouldn't steer you wrong just because I know them!

I used frankelphotography, if that helps anyone. It is a husband and wife team and they are great. The husband takes all the pictures and the wife sets up the albums. The albums are beautiful. They do great work.
