Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa on Mission Bay

We are considering having our wedding at the Hilton San Diego on Mission Bay and we are looking for any feedback you can provide.  Has anyone on here been married there or been to a wedding there recently?  If so, what did you think and would you recommend?  Thanks in advance!

Wll this is nearly a 3 yr old post but just wanted to share that this is currently our second choice of venue. I went to my friend's uncle's wedding here on Labor Day weekend 2005 and loved the place that it just stuck in my mind that maybe someday I will get married here as well. Fast forward nearly 7 years later, I brought my fiance here after we got engaged last Spring and he loved it too. Theonly reason that this is our second choice venue is because Paradise Point Resort and Spa, which is about 3 miles away is just absolutely gorgeous! You cannot beat the ceremony site and views of the reception ballrooms. Plenty of beautiful areas to take pictures as well. Only downside is it is pricy, flexibility, (although they allow some flexibility if you have a Friday or Sunday wedding, not as much as the other venues..I guess because they know their assets), and it is mandatory that you have a wedding planner atleast for the day of the wedding. Well, I will have an appointment end of the year to get an estimate and I get to customize my package since I plan to have my wedding there on a Sunday (early evening) sometime end of fall next year...hope they can be flexible enough since I am having a wedding during an off-day and off-season. I will also speak with catering manager from Hilton Mission Bay Resort & Spa before the end of the year...so far we are going for Paradise Point (80%) & Hilton Mission Bay (20%).
