local/not too far/inexepensive honeymoon ideas?

Ok so we never got around to getting our passports and the wedding is 2 1/2 months away. So... the Mexico cruise that we wanted is out. Does anyone have any suggestions for something more local? We like mountains and nature views.

We want something sweet and romatic that "feels like a honeymoon not a vacation".

I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks ladies.

Your profile says Central Florida, but since you are posting in the San Diego Forum, I'm guessing that is where you're at now.

Santa Barbara is a great place.  It is about a 4-4.5 hour drive and is full of fun shops, restaurants, beautiful beaches, a charming zoo, a bird reserve, plenty of lakes within an hour or so drive for hiking, a mission, Solvang, some other nearby towns that are great, winerys, etc.  You can rent bikes, take a trip out to the Channel Islands, there is a fun Farmer's Market (it used to be Tuesday afternoons on State St., but may be a different day now), plus all kinds of other things.

Here are 4 bed and breakfasts to check out:

    www.bathstreetinn.com

You'll have the most fun if you do some research and have ideas and plan ahead a bit for what you might like to do, so you don't feel like you are just floundering around when you get there.  But it is a great little city, with lots to offer, and can be a sweet and romantic place to spend some time.

Congratulations and have fun where ever you end up!

Napa! Wineries, spas, touristy stuff... did I mention wine?? :) Also, Lake Tahoe is gorgeous.
