My fiance and I both graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and are both navy helicopter pilots. To say that we are aviation enthusiasts is an understatement. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can rent aircraft for a day as a static display. I am also looking for any ideas for anyways to incorporate aviation into our big day.

I have no idea what it costs or what your budget is, but maybe look into having your reception at the Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park?

Another place you might look into, that is reasonably priced, is the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant. It is decorated with WWI war memorabilia, including some planes. It also looks out onto Montgomery Field, a small airport. There are even pictures of a bride and groom arriving by plane (check out the Gallery section for pictures).

When I was driving on the 805 yesterday I saw a billboard for a USMC flight museum on the base up in Miramar. I have also seen online ads for a small airplane hangar and field in El Cajon... should come up if you Google.
