Outdoor Wedding in March. Should we be worried about cold temps or rain?

We are getting married March 5, 2011. We have only lived in San Diego for 2 years, and I haven't completely figured out the weather yet. When we told our friends that grew up here that we were having it outside in March, a few of them had concerns that it would rain. Should I worry about this? We could always rent a tent if we absolutely had to, but our ceremony and reception are both outside at our friend's home.

I'm wondering if this is something I need to plan for?

I'd worry.  March is crazy.  It can be bright and sunny and then pour down rain a few hours later. I'd rent a tent and be on the safe side.

Ditto frenchy730. It's so hard to say with March. I'd definitely have a tent for backup, just in case.
